hey, im Dean, and just got this '06 ranger today. its a 2.3 with a 5 speed with only 14k on it. I love it so far its really fun to drive and has a really light feel compared to my old 1993 jeep grand cherokee. I was shooting for a 4 banger to get better mileage (jeep got 14) anyways thanks, tell me what you think. I dont think this website will let me keep it stock for long.

welcome, pull the intake silencer, its free and its a 4 banger so u hear the difference or keep it stock.

 

i pulled mine and added a k&n drop in makes her sound throaty even if it adds maybe .1 horsepower.

yep, as of tonight it has 14540 miles. i will look at that intake silencer but its not bad for a 4 cylinder in the power department. it is definately quicker then my jeep which is a 4.0L inline 6...
