New round of mods

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about my new round of mods I'm doing to my 04 XLT 4.0 4x4 5A, 4.10's. Its all stock except for a K&N Intake, Magnaflow exhaust, a decent stereo, and a tonneau cover. Anyways, today I ordered a Ford Racing Trak Loc for it, a set of 4 KYB Monomax shocks. I'll be doing the T bar crank this weekend, (just going up 1-1.5in). And going in for an alignment on tuesday. I still need to decide what tires im going to go with though, I cant decide between the BFG A/T and the General Grabber AT2 both in a 265/75/16. Anyways, just wanted to share ,I'm pretty excited about it. The extra traction and ground clearence will really help out in these montana winters!

Get some duratracs instead of the bfgs or generals.

If you're doing all that work to diff why put in a LSD Trac-Lok? Go locking.

A lock-right locker is the same price and just as easy to install.

I don't really want I locker, just something that will give me some more traction in the snow and on wet roads. Driving in our winters with a locker really sucks, because everytime you turn even when your not accelerating your back end is sliding all over the place. Sometimes its fun, but when you just want to get from A to B it gets old.

You could get a Eaton e-locker.

Dude I'm telling you, you are wasting your time and money with a Trac-lok. They are no fun in the snow either. When they lock up you are in a tail spin.

We'll I've had vehicles with both and for me at least, I prefer the trac loc. If I was going to go wheeling all the time then yeah I would go for the locker but the trac loc is the best choice all around for me.

Good to see someone else from Montana on here. I am just putting in a Powertrax no-slip, Its like a tamer locker, you might want to take a look at it. I have also heard good stuff about the duratracs.
