I had originally wanted 20 up front and 5 in the back, but I don't want tickets all the damn time.

Nah, it wasn't bad.... the manual says taht for the 94 and older, all you do is pop the vinyl off and unscrew the dash cluster. Make sure you remove your headunit. Also, the screws are Torx, but you can also use a socket to remove them (i think 8MM). you may also have to remove the speedo cable from the rear of the Tranny. Otherwise, Straight forward. Also, the green color that comes from the dash... it is impregnated into the vinyl plastic of the dash cluster. you CAN NOT CHANGE IT, unless you buy an after market cluster. The Speedo cable on the back of the cluster was a pain in the A$$ but we got it, and you HAVE to make sure that you CLIP the plastic clip, or it will come out like it did on me.

Yeah, but while i was waiting on my truck to get done, 3 different people walked in and had their's removed because the State Police pulled them for their tint. It sucks. Oh well, I really wanted darker, but I don't have the money as of yet to pay fines.

I like the guages, but yea the tint could be darker. Seems like the police are more strict where you live so its cool. Out here alot of people cruise around blacked out which is why the police are probably so leniant.

man, it ain't no joke.... they have some freaked up crap here. Ask anyone on here from VA. They are extremely **** retentive in the Hampton Roads area too! It's unbelieveable how much they can do and get away with.

Is that the way it is in '94's -- you can't change it? In later models the color can be scraped off the back of the overlay. That's what I did to change mine. See my how-to on my cardomain site about gauge color change.

Yea, i remember reading a post about scraping it off, or sanding it off. However, it looks like Pixels of green impregnated into the gauge cluster. So, for at least the 94's, yeah, not removeable, HOWEVER, my blue bulbs are so bright the blue comes through just fine.

Yes, it looked surprisingly good and I like your results.

The only thing I like about the white light is I could use multiple colors on the dash overlay on the newer ones. I may have to try some of the those really well "spread" LED lamps in white at some point.

That is what I have. The Matrix LED's I bought have 4 or 5 LEDs on the sides and i do believe 1 or 3 on the top. To give you an IDEA on the spreading of light, look at my speedo again. There is on ly one buld there behind it lighting it up. Not too shabby if I can BARELY see a HINT OF GREEN coming from the Automatic Gear Selection window thingy (i can't remember it's name). And, the blue is not over powering at night, my eyes don't have to adjust after looking at them. Also, I wished I could make my needles orange, but oh well...

I didn't do the blue gauges after an experience with my son-in-laws VW Golf with blue gauges. It seared my eyes at night. That's why mine are red with blue highlights. I really, really like the blue -- I just can't take it, lol.

I was thinking about it, doing red that is, but I thought the blue would work better. I bought 6 bulbs, but only needed 5, and 9,99 a pop, they are expensive little buggers!
