Gas MPG
Has anyone ever noticed you get better miles per gallon when you only fill your tank halfway each time instead of feeling it all the way full. When i fill my tank halfway i can go 160 miles. And when I fill it all the way up, it goes 250 to 275. Must be the weight of the gas in the tank, making your engine work harder, I dont know.

Eh, its just the inaccuracy of the gauge shining through.. I usually only fill up $10-15 then like a day later running on the check gauge light for a few miles.. I almost ran out of gas the other night, my truck started puttering- luckily I was a couple blocks from a gas station. I'll be filling up a little more each time when I get payday rolls around.. A friend of mine did tell me that it's better to just fill up all the way, instead of a little at a time- I need to start doing this for the sake of my fuel pump! lol

I noticed that my 3.Ohhh... Does best and seems most efficient (smoothest ride, best handling) at 70 MPH with half a tank of gas, or at least half a tank on the fuel gauge. On a full gauge at 70, it handles unevenly with the weight of the tank on the left side of the truck, but at half a tank things seem to balance. Beats me, that's for the engineers.

1 gallon of gasoline equals 5.8 to 6.5 lbs. so lets say if you are ten gallons down that's 60 pounds give or take. Not a big enough deal to make a difference.
