Newbie: 2004 Ford Ranger 3.0 edge
Newbie: 2004 Ford Ranger 3.0 edge
I know this has probably been discussed before, couldn't find what I was looking for. .I have a 2004 Ford Ranger 3.0 was wondering what years would "drop in" without any change years of Rangers would work? Thanks
Have a look here.
The cam shaft position sensor was changed from a 3 to 2 wire, but it doesn't really matter, the block where the synchronizer fits in, remained unchanged.
You just use your unit on the other 3 litre.
And what were you looking for specifically ?

Yes.
There may some differences in the EVAP system, but I think the connection into the intake manifold remained in the same place.
Obviously if you're changing from an auto to a standard, or vise-versa, you will have to change out the flywheel etc....
Both should by either standard or flex fuel.
The injectors are different between the two.
You would have to change the injectors accordingly.
