Freebee Mods....

Not sure where this would go so....

What if we had a thread that list all of the free mods that we have done to our truck...

I am not made out of money and always looking for something to do to the truck that is either free or not highly expensive... so here is my list so far...

60/40 to 40/40 seats
Head light mod
air silencer removed

Thinking this thread will help new Ranger owners along with people who have had them for a while.

Throttle cable mod is just using zip ties on the 'pedal' side of the throttle cable to take up the excessive slack the factory puts in it. Gives a better 'feel' when driving. Doesn't give you any power or anything, but you don't have to move the pedal so far to get throttle like you used to.

3bulb mod just makes use of the two empty sockets in your factory third brake light. Taking two sockets from the parts store, bulbs and tap-splices you can make the two empty spots functional. This is mine with niteshade over the lense, just fills the lense up with more light.

Oh okay, I have heard of those, I guess I just forgot about them, lol.
I will have to check those out for myself.
Anyway to get more lights out of the 06+ tails? I was riding behind my truck a few weeks ago at night and I noticed that there needs to be more brake lights on the truck.
I thought I saw someone on here had added some bulbs or something in the newer tails.

I think this thread is pretty much over... not much left to do for free, unless you start adding in general maintenance.

You can get a spare set of lights and their sockets and dremel the openings on the bottom of the '06+ tails.
