in a pinch you can use a rubber washer from like lowes like you would use on a sink or even cut a piece of cork from gasket material last time i bought an oil drain plug it was like six bucks at Ford when they get worn out i just replace them its been like three of them in 8 years

I was wondering the same thing. The fiber seal on my 5.0 drain plug is falling apart. I'll check at the parts store tomorrow...

They sell magnetic oil plug replacements at almost any parts store, they are around $10

I've had a fumoto valve on my Ranger's oil pan for many years. Works great.

i've heard some bad things about those quick drain oil things so i'm probably gonna stay away from that . its not leaking or anything so i dont wanna take it out and waste all that oil so i'll probably go to ford before my next oil change and just buy a new one.

Fumoto has never received a report of a failure. Not even one.

I replaced my leaky drain plug with a Fram Suredrain about 25,000 miles ago. I love that damn thing!
