My dad's got an old '85 Toyota 4x4 w/22R and it's still carbureted. Sounds like there may be a little "lover's spat" on that ad.

No, 85 was the first year for EFI on the 22RE, but it was still an option. A buddy of mine has an '85 Toyota 4wd with the injected 22re. In '85, EFI was an option, and you could get the solid front axle into '86.

20R and 22R = Carb

22RE = EFI...Hence the letter "E"
