Painting valence... tips?

I requested to keep my old valance. I figured, that since the damage to the plastic isnt too severe, i may attempt to fix the damage myself and paint it... In your expereince, would this work or no?

the best way to paint a plastic vailance is to let a shop do it.....they can add special additives to the paint so it will bond to the plastic.....

i tried painting mine 2 summers ago with the Fusion paint for plastics.....it didn't stick well.....when i hit a deer the body shop painted it with automotive paint with the plastic additives.......it hasn't peeled off in almost a year and a half.....

hey I have an 03 I think, valence in Andy's garage, if you're interested. It has round foglights..

I think though that its a lil warped from heat, so unless yours is covered with blood, it might not be as good.
