Percentage of My Ranger is American parts?
I knew someone would say the money doesn't go to the US.
were does it go than? some of it does i know such as wages for american employees and taxes for manufacturing plants in the US but the majority of it goes overseas. im i wrong?
Just FYI, Toyota USA is incorporated in Delaware, so they operate like an American company and pay taxes like an American company...
You aren't wrong but its not like all the money is going to overseas. Its US automakers fault anyway. They have crappy quality and some of their products are made out of the US anyway since it costs them less.
I really don't know that. The point I was trying to make that import cars aren't always the devil
yeah ill def agree with that. i also know a fair share of american automakers money goes overseas as well. and i dont think foreign vehicles are evil, i used to want an older tacoma badly, before they made them ugly. hell id buy a toyota long before i bought a dodge, or even a gm now. at least toyota can afford to keep the lights on. lol
Economically it is in the best interest of the company and it's customers to go the lowest cost of production. Even if that means sending it oversees. The benefit of the lower consumer cost outweighs the loss of the American worker's wages. Its plain and simple Economics.
I prefer to support companies OWNED by Americans. I would rather buy a Ford that has outsourced some of their manufacturing overseas than a Toyota that has outsourced their manufacturing to the US.
Would I still buy a toyota? yes. But, I still prefer to support US owned companies when I can.
