Picking up a ranger today

So im heading out to pick up the new truck in a few minutes. Im really a vw guy at heart, but working at a parts store made me realize how much more reasonable it is to own a domestic car. Its an 04 black 5 speed 2.3, with 93k, and im getting a great deal on it. Ill post a few pics this afternoon.

if your in MA you should have gotten a 4x4 Ranger. you'll hate the 2WD in the snow

After the last snow we had (less than an inch), I saw a 2WD Ranger get STUCK in a parking lot.

The funny part?

The lot was already plowed!!

Nice, the worlds most perfect beater.

2WD Rangers are not that bad in snow. Its all about the tires you put on. I have a set of decent blizzacks on the back of my 2.3 with a 150-200lb block of concrete over the axle. Its not a snow monster, but it does the job well enough and has never gotten me stuck. A 2WD ranger with good tires will be better in the snow than a 4X4 with average a/t tires.

true
it came with a little bigger tires, but im planning on doin a body lift, and then some 32's...dont think i should go any bigger with an hour commute to work and a little engine....already put silverstar ultras in it cuz the stock lights sucked
also thinking about a grille and brush guard, intake eventually and possibly an exhaust
and about the snow- its been great, never driven an auto rwd in the snow but with a little clutch work i have no problem getting traction
