plans for today
go to vatozone and get the duplicolor paint i used on my mirror caps.
take out a few interior pieces (dash bezel, center console insert) and paint them and clear them to match the rest of the truck. the center console insert is silver and matches my stock bezel, but its scratched up and dirty.
what do you guys think, should it look good?

wish u could paint a house that way.. would be kinda kool to watch if it doesn't blow the house apart haha..
but in all seriousness (sp?) colour matching the interior will look *****in!

I think the only painted interiors I've seen that didn't look like **** are Zachs and FRXLT's. Silver bezel and stuff should look good.
Make sure you take LOTS of pics.

I need to get my head unit out but can't! What do I need to do. I'm assuming I'll have to unplug everything and unbend the tabs in the radio itself to take it out. If only I could just unclip something to disconnect it from the bezel.. There's a lot of wires lol
If it's a factory unti with the two holes on each side, then there's two ways:
1) Use radio removal tool and insert into those four holes
2) remove bezel (with radio attached). carefully push the side tabs on the radio inward from the rear and that should release the radio to slide forward.
If it's an aftermarket unit, I don't know much about those.

i didnt install it myself thats wh i dont know jack. my grand prix bezel was different. had screws holding it into the bezel. unscrew em and tadaa! free!
but i just unhooked all the wires. realized all the wiring mess goes into one harness. then unplugged the sub and video wires. now just to get the headunit out of the bezel. if i cant. im taping it off and painting with it there hahaha

somewhat. not quite the same though. usually the have some kind of removal tool that presses the tabs on the sides from the cage. and you can pull it out with the bezel and press the tabs on the sides or use a screw driver also.
