popping???
popping???
well... the last couple of days ive noticed that sometimes when i go over a bump in the road, or even a speedbump i hear a popping noise. im not sure what it is, but it doesnt do it all the time... and it doesnt really vibrate the truck at all, but it just pops, and id say it does maybe once every 10 bumps in the road... i dont know.. any ideas?
well.. yeah.. i think a lot of the time im turning.. its kind of hard to remember now when im tryin to think about it. but i have been muddin a lot lately, and ive been tryin to wash under the truck every time i do it... maybe that has something to do with it?
easiest thing to do is grease the steering stops and check to make sure the shock and swaybar bolts are tight. for the stops you just smear grease on the metal nubs on the sides of the lower control arms. if that doesnt fix it it may be the ball joints

if the camber bolts were not tightened enough this could be your problem, but being your truck is a 98 and has never had any front end work done to it my moneys on upper and lower balljoints, if there that loose that there poping then your just a few pops away from breakage.
