Possibly Selling. Need Advice

So I have been listing my ranger, to see if I could get any serious offers on it. I love my truck, however there are several factors here. First I still owe a years worth of payments, $2200 to be exact. I am in school, and have basically been paying for it with my student loan money.

Second Im broke. I am currently ultimately laid off, working whenever our office actually has work, and have been sitting at home cleaning and building a birdhouse the past 3 days (seriously).

Third I could potentially use something more fuel efficient and with more passenger seating as my girlfriend and I always drive my truck to travel, or for anything really, and I travel 30 miles each way when I do work.

A lady has emailed me with the first serious interest in my truck. I have listed it at $8000, or a trade plus cash since I still owe money.

For those who dont know, its an 03 black 3.0 flex xcab edge, with 110000 miles, 16x8 american racing bajas, painted black, 255/70/16 uniroyal cross country, brand new battery, rebuilt alternator, and brand new gatorback belt, new spray in bedliner, altezza taillights, clear corners, power everything, tinted windows.

Thoughts? If I did sell, I would probably get some sort of SUV with a back seat, but still cargo space, as I will be doing lawns, and need space for a push mower, weedeater etc. I would love a BII, but I have been looking at jeeps, maybe explorers, or possibly older rangers. I talked to a guy who has a 96 lowered blue ranger near here for $4000, I might look at that.

Anyways advice?

Check kbb and edmunds. Remember that no matter what you paid in mods you will not get the money back unless someone is willing to pay for them since mods don't add value to the truck.

Lowered Ranger for 4k is a good idea, pay off your loan, get a new truck and have some green to fall back on.

If you're mowing, I wouldn't get an suv. Too much clean up in the cargo.

Why get rid of your ranger to possibly just get another one? And if you're going to be needing space for a mower and such, the truck's really going to help out. Plus, think of how goofy you would look showing up to somebodies house to mow and you pull your mower and other stuff out of some low sittin street truck? GOOFY LOOKIN! Haha. Well maybe that last part doesnt really matter but still...
