we have this VERY SLIGHT incline like NO slope really...
and this Mustang couldn't get out of the parking lot, people had to push it out
and an S-10 couldn't make it either
anyways, these MTZs could be better in the snow, but after seeing those people last night i figured they are a pretty good tire

snow, we dont have that much here in MD but when we do I am prepared I have gotten some wood to put into the bed of the truck and I got 2 strong tow ropes I had a friend who tried it one year and the idiot he tried to pull out floored his car and when he got traction he drove right into my friends truck, I told him next time have the guy sit beside you and just drag his butt out, at the time my friend drove a silverado 1500 4x4

no pulling yet...but I did see an exploder w' its back end in the woods (when there was only ~1/2" of snow)
is there a right way to do it? or do you just hook up a tow strap to your tow hooks (or hitch), connect it to their tow hook, slowly roll until the strap is taut, then slowly go in 4lo, while they're floored, until they inch out?

i would strongly recommend against pulling most people out, the last thing you want is to be sued by the damages "you caused" on the car or the whip lash on the person while trying to pull them out.
its good to stop and make sure they are ok and have help on the way... if its an older person or someone with a truck that looks like they have the slightest clue of whats going on ill help.

Like zach said. If you see somone stuck I suggest only pulling them out if they have an idea of what they are doing.
#1 If there retarded they may rear end you, which is very easy
#2 Sue you for damages or medical damages.
Stop make sure there ok and ask if they need to use your cell phone or if they want you to advice the authorities.
Most the time When i see a vehicle too stuck to push out they are rolled over anyways lol

I'd be pretty hard pressed to pull people out. But it's not so much because of law suits. IMO the on coming drivers/cars are VERY dangerous around here. I'm far more scared of getting run over by a idiot than I am in getting sued.
You'd think people in Michigan would comprehend that traction in the snow/ice is less. Nope! Its amazing the cycle they go through.
Having lived in Mich for 7 yrs now I see the exact same thing every winter.
The first snowfall and EVERYONE slows to a crawl. Very aggrivating IMO.
The following 4-5 days of no traction and they speed up faster and faster back up to 70mph no matter the weather. Then after they see at least 20-30 wrecks they'll get it and drive a reasonable 30-60mph depending on conditions.
Oh and whilest I'm on a soap box... why in the world would you EVER hit the brakes after your in the middle of a ice covered bridge? Stupid people ought to ride a bus or something.
