Question about build date of 2006 Ranger

Hey everyone! Hoping to get a little advice here about the build date of my truck. She's a 2006 Sport model.

I know from checking the VIN that it was built in August of 2005 but the other day I noticed these numbers stamped into the body: "08 2205".

I added two photos to show the location of the stamp. Would anyone know what these numbers are? Is this an EXACT build date of m/d/y besides just the month and year
that the VIN/door sticker give? I can't help but find it an odd coincidence that the truck was built in Aug. of 2005 and the numbers stamped here are Aug. 22, 2005.

Any thoughts? Are these numbers in this location a build date? Everything I search online just comes back to "check the door sticker".
Thanks guys!

K-Man

My guess would be a part number.

Or production run / plant control numbers. 08 2205 is an odd way to mark month/day/year.

You're probably correct RoseBud68.....and something had I thought of as well. Its peaked my interest though as there is ZERO information online about what those numbers are.....well, I probably shouldn't say that as I'm sure it's out there somewhere, haha. Just seems like an odd coincidence that the truck was built in Aug. 2005 and "08 2205" are stamped there.

I wonder, would anyone with a 2006 know the build date of their truck from the VIN/door sticker and be able to have a look at what numbers are stamped on their truck in that location? If there's a match on your truck as well it might be a good indicator of exact d/m/y.

Thanks all!

Hmmm, any thoughts then Ranger480 on what those numbers could be? If your production run/plant control numbers is that something you could look into for the 2006's?

Thanks!
