During my driving around I have seen 3 different decals on Ford Trucks. 4x4, 4x4 Off Road, and FX4, So what do they mean. I kind of know what the FX4 is about, but what is the difference between the 4X4 and the $X$ Off Road decals.

 

The meaning of the decal depends upon the year of the Ranger, Ford used different decals depending upon the year. Some have the same package even though the decals read differently. To add to the confusion, some people buy and use decals that don't belong on their Ranger.
