I'm confused. So you have the brackets and sliders from your 01, and are trying to fit that into the top of the slider on the 04 seat?

that is the problem... the brackets seem different. everything about the underside of the seats seems different.

i didnt know if there was a way i am not seeing or if my best bet would be to hack up the brackets and make em work

It’s a lot of work to take the brackets off. When I originally took the seats out of my truck, (b/c my g/f broke the handle off) I put in racing seats. I used a grinder to shave the 'pegs', for lack of better words, off and when I was at the same height as the bracket, I took a punch and hammer and knocked the peg out. Then i took the 4 brackets and bolted them onto the sliders of the new seats. It worked okay, but I thought the seat was uncomfortable so I took them out as soon as I found new seats. (couldn’t use the old ones because I originally did too much cutting and grinding.) If this makes no sense, pm me and I'll try to re-explain.

that actually makes sense.

i was thinking about either grinding those rivets or pegs or whatever off or drilling em out, but i didnt want to start with it and not be able to get the stock seats back together.

i called ford earlier and they quoted me $230 for a new set of sliders for the 04 seats

Anthony, for the seatbelts, I used the holes for the seatbelt under the console, (middle seat) they bolt to the floor just like the seat. The female end of the seatbelt is bolted onto your seat, so when the seats are out of the truck, you can unbolt it and then screw it to the floor. I do not have an airbag light in my truck. Well if I do, I have never noticed. And the passenger side there is a key to turn it on and off.

And Alon, good luck with getting the seats in. Do you have one out right now? I drove around for 3 days without a passenger seat when i was trying to figure this out. Just make sure you do the passenger first so if you mess up, you can still drive.
