Ranger Bed/Box bolts Brand New Very Cheap!
Hello all!
I'm new so go easy on me if I'm right out of her on posting this.
I recently swapped my flare box for a style box on my 98.
I needed all new bolts as the old ones were far beyond wire wheel refurb lol
Anyhow Ford up here in Ontario wanted $26 CDN per Bolt BEFORE tax!
I called around and did some digging; they're just 1.75 x 12 x 100mm (times 4) and 1.75 x 12 x 120mm (times 2 for the front of the bed closer to the cab) machine bolts.
I found a local Acklands Grainger that got me two complete sets of the bolts with 3/4 standard hex socket heads for $6 CDN made to grade 10 strength!
They worked amazing!
What do they go for down in the US out of curiosity? Are they hosing you all down there to the same tune?

I can mail you the bolts if you want . I got two sets just for the hell of it. I'm up in Petawawa about 1.5 hrs North.
Just pay shipping. I'll pay it forward brother Message me your address and I'll get you a quote on shipping. Probably won't be more than $5
Heads are T55. Mine came out fairly easy. I kept hitting the underside of the bolts with Moovit a day or two before. They all came out with a 18" breaker bar and a T55 Torx head socket. It's just that the bottoms of the bolts were so corroded that they would not thread into the clips at all!
Another thing I'll give you a heads up on is that fuel hose on the 98's and up seems to be 1.5" diameter. It's hard to find. Really hard to find. I had to use a piece of Marine grade Fuel Line and make it fit. If it splits on you, it's a major set back. Prepare in advance for it to go bad and have a replacement ready. I've been told by a mechanic buddy that you can use radiator hose to the same effect.
Cheers!

No worries.
Also depending on your year and condition of the truck, the fuel filler neck may be rotted right through. I swapped mine as well when I swapped the bed. The old one literally crumbled when I took the hose lines off!
Mine's a 1998 though and buddy who had her before me wasn't so up to par with maintaining her lol
Send me your info PM when you get a chance. Cheers man!

Update to this for anyone still following along:
I had to go to the local industrial parts supply house (Brafasco) for the replacement bolts; they pulled class 10 off the shelf automatically. I used about a can of the Seafoam DeepCreep (I like the stream/spray control nozzle and that it works upside down) to penetrate the corrosion. It seemed that the bed has been off before, because the Torx bolts were cross-threaded and stripped. I sprayed parts cleaner in the receiver clips to get the crud out, and then I anti-seized the heck out of the new bolts In case I have to remove them again in another 400,000km.
For the fuel filler hose, the Ford dealer wanted to sell me the neck and the hose for $400, and Mazda wanted $530. At the recommendation of the local parts shop that caters to the guys around here who build race cars for the local dirt tracks, I went to a local business that makes custom hydraulic rubber hoses. Like Wes, he gave me a hose that will outlive the truck, cut right off the reel in the warehouse, with 2 worm clamps for "how does $10 sound to you?"
