I need a 4x4 truck for work/life. But don't want a big one. Looking to spend no more than 5k (cause I'm pretty broke to be honest). That puts me in the early 2000's, 200k mile range. Scary territory for me but I've had daily drivers with that much on them... Don't know much about rangers. What should I look for and ask about during vehicle inspection? I know quite a bit about cars and repairs. Do much of it myself. I don't need it to last forever but the longer the better obviously. Please guide me as I want to be part of the ranger club!

 

Or should I just buy an f150 and deal with the gas usage and larger size?
