In Europe, they generally refer to the different generations of vehicles as Mk1, Mk2, etc. Mk1 (or Mark1) being the first generation and so on. Being relatively new to the Ranger, I could not comment on how many generations of Rangers the UK has or when they started, so I will leave that to another member.

yea, on your side of the pond, i'm unaware of how many mk's there were. as for this side;
mk1 83-88
mk2 89-92
mk3 93-97 (after this year, it gets fuzzy since changes were minor and mostly cosmetic)
mk4 98-00
mk5 01-04/05
mk6 04/05-current

good luck in your search. maybe a dealer could be more helpful. they would know how many mk's there are over there.
