My first ranger was a White 1996 XLT 4cyc single cab straight bed.....next was a White 1999 XLT 4cyc etra-cab step-side.....next a Smoke-grey 2000 XLT 4cyc single cab step-side.....Now I am trading my 2000 in on a 2010 XLT Smoke-grey XLT 6cyc 4.0 extra-cab straight bed........When did they quit offering the step-side bed......man that option made these truck look awesome......

IIRC it was somewhere between 03-05

 

2004 was the last year for the Flareside Ranger.

 

You can always swap out the beds. Just find an 01-05 DSG flareside bed and pop it on. Swap out the tails. Done.

 

if you wanna drive to florida ill trade you my flareside bed rightnow i hate it lol
