Rear End Thump/weird smell
Sorry, I don't know what forum to exactly post this since two things happened at once so i just post here. Well anyway, I put my truck in drive to go to work and i didn't even hit the gas, truck just rolling, i hear a very loud THUMP in my rear end. Put it in park, got out, checked everything and seemed fine, got back in and off to work i went. I get to work and i get out and smell that smell of like burning electrical stuff or like a heated up RC car like that smell. Looked around and i found the smell coming from my Rear Left wheel, WEIRD.
On my drive home from work truck drove fine like it did earlier no thump but that smell was still coming from the rear left tire....i am clueless.
I know that thump had something to do with it but i haev no idea what the heck is going on the truck drives fine just smells terrible from that rear drivers side wheel which clearly isn't normal.
Anybody know or think what may be going on?
Thanks guys.

Yhea, I've seen many big trucks burn up after the driver used to much brake down a long hill and got them hot. Next thing you know it's not the brakes smoking but the truck burning.
yeah look at your wheel cylinders and see if they are popped or or if they wont pop back in, cant remmember which
all fixed. my left drum was the one that made the noise. something broke inside and was rbbing so created the smell and i didn't even know but the right one got checked and the wheel cylinder was gone and brake fluid everywhere so just replaced both sides.
Thanks for the help
