does anyone know if it would be possible to install rear seats out of a 4 door ranger into a 2 door ranger?

It can. From what i understand the bolt holes are already in your floorboard to do it. If you haven't bought them yet, I took out the black ones from my 4dr if you need a pair. I am very close to you (Austin).

there was a guy on rps that was trying this. When I sent these pics he said his floor had the same bolt hole patterns. I never got 100% confirmation on the fitment, but when I left the thread everything looked like it was gonna work.

I'll have to take a look under my carpet tomorrow. It wouldnt surprise me if the holes were already there. I know they are there if I mounted the seats in the door.

ok, the holes are there, BUT the holes are not threaded and I'm not sure if there is supposed to be any bracing under that raised part in the picture. I might be able to get up under there and put a nut on the other side. I know this may sound funny, but is there a weight limit on those jump seats?

I think there's more of a size limit than a weight limit. I mean you just can't get anyone very big and/or heavy back there comfortably! When I go back to my truck this weekend I will check if there is any sort of bracing on the bottom. If there is, I'll send it to you also.

something to also keep in mind, a 2 door cab, and a 4 door cab are two different cabs.... another words, a two door cab is not a 4 door cab with the doors welded shut. I found this out when i bought the 4 door step bars for my 2 door truck DOH! (dealer felt sorry for me and sent me 2 door brackets via fedex - i dont have the gonads to tell em i bought the bars on ebay not from the dealer) heh.
