Recall / "Customer Satisfaction Program"
Recall / "Customer Satisfaction Program"
I got a letter in the mail from Ford. They are having a "no-charge Customer Satisfaction Program for all 2004 and certain 2005 vehicles equipped with 5R55S, 5R55E, or 5R44E automatic transmissions."
The Issue: The assembly plant filled our transmissions with a fluid formalation that, over time, may cause delayed/harsh reverse engagements.
Basically they need to add a bottle of transmission fluid additive to correct the forumalation of the fluid.
For those who think this may apply to them, have the dealership see if "Customer Satisfaction Program 04B22" applies to you.
This program will end March 31, 2005.

no letter for me yet and I keep running my VIN in the recall data base and it comes up empty
I am approaching 10,000 miles and may splurge for a transmission flush anyway
after all I have put her through LIL BLUE deserves it
