Red_Ak_Ranger 10-02-2007 09:35 AM

I'd send him a gold medal though if he used a beer can! A nice bud or miller light. And some duct tape!

lifted97ranger 10-02-2007 09:38 AM

ummm i don't know what to say...

RazorsEDGE 10-02-2007 09:41 AM

Why not just buy a new oil cap? No more than $10 at the local parts store...

Trevelyn1015 10-02-2007 12:48 PM

winks 10-02-2007 12:50 PM

A question nobody's asked. how do you go about losing your oil cap?

03XLT 10-02-2007 12:51 PM

Definitely get a new cap, but that right there is proof that necessity is the mother of invention.

RangerJustin 10-02-2007 12:54 PM

i used electrical tape when i found out mine had disappeared....thats what i get for taking advantage of that first free oil change from ford...

jtslmn720 10-02-2007 12:59 PM

yeah new oil cap would be good...

jtfoxman 10-02-2007 01:14 PM

That's just not redneck that's hillbilly. American enginuity at its best.

FMD 10-02-2007 01:45 PM

i bought a new oil cap, $4.95 at autozone, but i needed something temporarily.

as far as losing it, well i dont think i actually lost it, its probably in the shop... somewhere... ill find it in a few years im sure.

I thought about duct tape and electrical tape, my fear was that it might melt and be a big mess. which is why iused HVac tape. It worked quite well, i tapped a hole in the top so that any moisture would hopefully evaporate out.

I can understand losing a valve stem cap on your tire...but an oil cap?
