Renting a Ranger

Whats a good place in fact any place where you can rent a Ranger? I might do this if the FL Summer meet happens. It could be Hertz, Avis, Enterprise etc. Might talk dad for doing this as an ealrly bday thing lol but dunno.

How much did you guys ( mostly between ages 21-25) get for renting a vehicle? Should insurance be preffered? Any experiences?

I won't buy another Ranger or other cars til next year or so. I'll also decide if my old Bull can make it lol!

Cliff, youve been talking about so many vehicles so many times. I wont believe it til I see it. I believe you mentioned Nissan Truck, F-150, another ranger. We all know your going to have the old bull until your 30. Then it will be 2015 and you will be buying a 2002 Kia Sorrento or something. When your 45 in 2030. There will be hovering cars, but the old bull will have wings by then.

Settle down Sally lol. You've been *****in about 3.0s more times then I talk about cars in fact more then everybody here all together. Some of us are just confused and yes are annoying but it's only opinions. You have yours I have mine. Oh yeah, by the time I hit 30, Winn-Dixie will be in History books.

Cliff - when I came down a few months ago a few companies listed Rangers but none had any available
All I could get in the Ford family of 'trucks' were Explorers or Expeditions
They were $68 per day and I would recommend the insurance if you are going to have any off road adventures
Renters can not have a variable rate based on age, just a restriction as to if they will rent or not
Use the internet and book at least 2 weeks in advance
Pick up and return to the same location for the best rate - good luck !!

My auto insurance covers me in a rental. I never get the extra insurance..

My buddy from Germany rented a Ranger twice on two different visits over here. For him it was the cheapest option! It seems nobody from Germany even thinks about renting a pickup when they come over here. So when he made the reservation the cheapest options were a fully loaded, 4x4 Ranger or an econo-box of some sort. He said it was one of the easier decisions he's ever had to make. We actually climbed mount washington in one of the pickups he rented!

I'm 98% sure he rented from Hertz in both instances.

Last time I rented a Ranger it was from Budget and it cost $18/day. That was in Jan of 01 but the Ranger was an 00.
