RIP Ranger 5/5/12 (Kind of pic heavy)

Well guys Saturday was a sad day for me. Two Buddies and I were driving up his gravel driveway and when we went around a bend my tires slide in the gravel and though us right into a tree going about 35mph. My friend was driving and wasn't familiar with my truck. I was sitting in the middle and luckily we all had our seat belts on. The driver has a broken nose and ankle, I got 6 stitches and suffered from several bruised ribs, my other friend, he was in the passenger seat only sustained a couple bruises from the seat belt. These are the pictures I submitted to his insurance company... Ranger 0 Tree 1.

So this is what I'm driving for the time being. Dad's 2012 Ford Escape. Really great little SUV!

(Lurker Mod)

Ford Sync is just amazing. I really like the new dash and radio.

Then just a picture of my truck in it's prime. I will miss this thing.

Thanks to everyone. I will stick around and keep everyone updated with what car I get next. Just a sad way to see your first car end like this.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. I almost smacked a tree last week going too fast in the mud. Just curious, were you riding b***h or were you in a jump seat? And did all the airbags deploy?

I did. Partly because of the truck and partly because of how bad my chest and head hurt.

I was in the middle. Kinda lucky to. If I would've been in the back my head most likely would've gone through the back window. My chest smashed the dash and my head ripped the rear view off. Both airbags deployed. I've never been in that much pain in my life.

Well right now I'm looking into getting a newer 2010-11 focus. Test drove one a few weeks ago and really liked it. As for getting another ranger, it may happen but I will probably get an older one and build the help out of it and just wheel it.

^ I know. He swears up and down that's all the faster he was going. I'm extremely into math so I'm going to crunch some numbers tomorrow with my physics professor.

This is why NO ONE drives my truck. Mom keeps pestering me about letting her drive it, all I say, "sorry but your names not on the title, not gonna happen" lol.

Sucks to hear about the truck tho. Atleast its not YOUR insurance paying for it since you were not driving, it will be your buddies insurance that will pay

Ouch!
Glad nobody was seriously hurt.
That's why nobody ever drives my truck.
I don't think that will buff out, but you should be able to salvage a lot of parts off it.

Hope you ok bro i would hate for my 99 to be wrecked by someone else. Getting a focus 2010-2011 tho id rather have the escape the 4-cylinder gets about the same gas as the focus, but if you like it go for it. I would get a newer Taurus SHO 2010+ or F250 09+ myself but they are still alot of money atm.

Trees will usually win, regardless of what you vehicle you hit it with. I did the same thing to my ranger, went sideways on a gravel road at about 30, and smashed up my front end on a tree. Its pretty easy to do on a truck with nothing in the bed, Im sorry that happened to you though. Are you guys still friends after all this?

I normally don't. It was a first time thing and this happens. We talk only because of insurance but I dont know about afterwards though. I'm pretty pissed at him.

Yup. Glad you're relatively ok... Your friend needs to man up and make it right. He's an idiot for driving like that when he doesn't know the vehicle. He's a bigger idiot for driving like that when it's not HIS vehicle.

Good to hear everyone is relatively ok (besides your truck of course). But alas, this is why vehicles are made.... (to protect us)

Yea. Our two insurance companies are bsing between each other. His will be threw the roof no matter what though. Hopefully he learns his lesson but its hard to tell. Just pissed that he didn't have some more respect for someone he's know his whole life.
