Icon5 rusted brake line

The brake line running down the frame to the rear is rusted out .I am unable to remove the fuel tank with the bed in place because of the filler tube. Since I'm doing the job my self, can I just disconnect the old line and run a new one by sliding it between the tank and frame along side the old line. This is a 1996 108" w/b.
Thank You

FWIW, when I purchased my Ranger, there was the old rusted line all along the frame rails and a new ni-cop line run right next to it. The previous owner/shop just did exactly what you propose. They cut the line and ran a new one right next to it.
