ScanGauge?

I've been a member here for not even a week and you guys have made me con myself into a scangauge.

From what I can tell they are pretty much universal to vehicles, as long as they have OBD II plugs right?

Also, my truck is bone stock (except for some stickers) will a scangauge be worth me getting?

Thanks, Jacob

No its not he just has a brush guard on..

Next.. I would say use the search tool and make love to it.. there are alot of threads on scangauges.

All its going to do is give you output on how your truck is running.

Yeah its not gonna make your truck perform any better than it does,, its a OBDII reader not a programmer. If thats what you are looking for use search tool cause its come up alot lately on tuners.

For the price its great, I love being able to monitor 4 functions all the time. The code reader is the biggest plus to me, I use it all the time for my truck and friends/family cars. I highly recommend it.

I am thinking about getting one for Chirstmas. All it will do is tell you different things on how your truck is performing as mpg, temps of different stuff, stuff like that. Also, if you ever get bigger or I guess smaller tires, you can set it up to were the speedo on the scangauge will read correctly while your stock gauge will be off. And the whole read and clear code deal.

I realize that they are only "gauges" and not a programmer.

I was just wanting to know if it was really worth having on a stock truck without mods.

Yes I say its worth it on a stock truck. The only tuner that displays the info is the SCT Livewire and I think thats like 500?

Basically it is. I wish there was a way we could just use a laptop and tune our trucks like you can with imports, that would be awesome.

He has the tuner though, I think he writes the tunes on the laptop, transfers them to the tuner and then to the computer. I don't have the knowledge to write my own tunes anyway though.
