Sell my truck for a Sport Trac...what do u think?
Yeah, i'd for sure pass. In the end, you wouldn't make any money. You would probably be spending more then what you can sell your Ranger for in order to get it back into shape.
If you really want a sport trac, I think you can probably find one of that year, with around those miles, for a pretty low price. I don't really track sport trac prices, but i'd assume 6-7k.

ya...but its only 1500.....and all it needs is a driver door and a pass fender.....the tail gate im not worried about, and i was planing on building a new rear bumper so that doesnt mater...there is a white 02 expo in there with a good driver door so got them to throw that in with the deal...and get the wheel bearing and cv shaft off that expo too all included in the $1500. so then all i need is a pass fender and the hood and both fenders and the driver door painted.....and i work at a body shop so ill get it done for the price of paint....so im thinking its gonna be less than 500 to get it all nice and pretty...and then throw my lift on it and any other parts i can off my truck....i have a list of all the stuff i have into my truck and how much it costs....i have about 5500 into my truck (including buying the truck) but by the time i strip it...i added up the stuff that will stay on it, and it was only like 1700....so if i sell it for like 3500 than i make 1800 off it....which is almost enough to buy and fix the ST and ill have my 3000+ worth of stuff on it....sooo
ive looked at it......the pass side spindle needs to be replaced...and im throwing my superlift on it so that doesnt matter...and it needs a cv and a wheel bearing...and i think it was in another accident and the hood, driver fender, and door, and bumper were messed up and its like they replaced the bumper and the hood and fender but bought them un painted and never painted them....but ya there was no fire...thats the first thing i thought too..
the first thiong i thought of about the hood was it'd been prep'd for paint. if you feel you can come out ahead go for it but it does look like it needs alot of work. i think it would look good brown.
See I'm on the edge about that to. I can either be a homo and have a 5.0 power house 2WD "Prerunner" or I can just drop in a 04+ 4.0 and be semi factory, maintain my 20ish MPG and be perfectly happy with the power. I can't decide. I want 5.0 bragging rights but I want 4.0 reliability and factory status.
