Selling the Ranger?

I wanted to get some opinions on this...

I have my 02 Edge ext cab, and I like the truck alot, but I dont like how I dont have much room in the cab area, and I cant take many people with me in the truck. I payed cash for it, so its paid for. I was thinking of getting either an Explorer, or maybe a ....cough..cough...ahem... Wrangler 4door....

So if you were to sell your ranger, and was going to get an SUV would you go with the explorer, or a wrangler, or a ???

Please give any pro's/con's

Thanks!

We have a wrangler at work although its older(88).
Pro's:
Runs good (6 cyl)
Easy to manuver
Good for plowing because of the short wheelbase
Cons:
Rides like crap
Wind beats you to death with the window down
If you hauled anybody they probably wouldn't be confortable (we took the back seat out)
real quick steering (wouldn't want to drive it fast)

Its ok for what we use it for but I would never own one.

Wrangler personally if you like to offroad at all, a explorer wont cut it.

We have a Sport Trac, it's great!! Plenty of room in the back for Riley and seat others (if Riley would let them back there hahaha). Then of course there is still the truck bed.

My girl and I got a 2003 explorer 4x4 NBX with the 4.6 V8 with 60k on it for 10,500 out the door and the thing is awsome. seats 7 lots of power and enough space turns on a dime and gets 18-22 mpg!

take a look.

Don't get me wrong, they are very nice, but if he likes to go offroad, they aren't intended for such...

Damn nice Explorer ya got there..And just as Chris said, if you're into off-roading, say no to the explorer, but if you're not..Then I'd get the explorer over a wrangler..They are just..NICER :)

actually the thing hasn't been half bad off road. and it kicks *** in the snow. the only down side is its low, but its short and has good approach and departure angles. lots of power, and a nice 4x4 low. the independent suspension is great through the rough stuff and it gets around on many of the trails my ranger does.

I have owned a Wrangler and I have to say I did love it, it was a ton of fun offroad and in town, but if your on the highway ever they are terrible. If it were me I would go crew cab f150 or sport trac. A truck bed comes in handy more than you realize.

I'd go with the '02+ Explorer. If I couldn't have a truck, that's what I'd have. If you like to off-road go with a Jeep.

Its more of a bucket than a bed, but hey no one said you can't stuff 10 pounds of s*** in a one pound bag:)

ya i know it crazy my ranger gets 15-18 and this thing has 50 more horses and gets way better mileage. I atribute it to the 3.55 gears in the rear and the fact its an all aluminum V8
