should i step back down to 15s?
im starting to kind of look at wheels and tires. my tires still have plenty of tread, but can't hurt to plan ahead.
and pricing wise, and comfort wise, a 15 makes sense. I want load range C and less then 4" of backspacing on an 8" wide wheel. mostly only available in a 15.
one problem i had on 15's before, for tape weights inside the wheel, they hit the thin metal caliper slider thingies. don't know what to call them.. not a huge problem, but still annoying.. lol
opinions?
also, if i do that, it makes the km2's affordable!
780 for 4 35x12.5x15 km2's
add one more wheel and tire for a spare obviously.

ok ok fine
going with soemthing like this. not sold on them yet. but i dont wnat a black wheel with a machined lip like my wheels now...
but i dont want anything other then black either.
Xtreme Alloys Series 8069 Black Finish-RH3
and not decided on KM2's. i'd like to see how they ride. i want a tire thats a bit quieter then my xterrains.

its only part price. other then that, i cant find the tires i want in a C load range. The D load range i have right now makes the thing ride like a damn tank. it rode so much nicer before on C load range tires

Actually a 325 is wider, a 315/70/17 is closer to the actually 35x12.50 specs. However the KM2 is actually available as a 35x12.50R17. It is also a D rated tire though, like the 315/75/16 KM2.
You might also be interested to know that the 35x.12R15 is the lightest at 61lbs, then the 315/75/16 at 64lbs, and the 35x12.50R17 at 68lbs. A lighter tire is going to get better mileage and less unsprung weight it always a good thing.
Comfort wise, I run 35x12.50R18 KM2s and they ride fine, though my truck is heavy.
Looks wise, I like 35x12.50R15s on rangers myself. If your wheel weights were hitting your caliper size, the shop stuck the weights in the wrong place probably. 3.75" backspacing might be a slightly better fit if available on the wheels you choose.
35X12.5R17 - $288.00 (ea.) x 5 = $1,440
315/75R16 - $265.00 (ea.) x 5 = $1,325
35X12.5R15 - $195.00 (ea) x 5 = $975
I can't wait to step down to 17s on my F150 for cheaper tires and more sidewall. Almost $60 cheaper per tire in a 35x12.50 for 17" wheels compared to 18".
