slightly chokes when going through water

ok so I dont mud or really bury my truck but every wheelin trip I go on my truck slightly bogs down. usually when i splash into a crossing or a big puddle.
I do have the air box mod done but I have 10 holes in the bottom for water drainage so thats not it.
Could it be any breather hoses?

ANY input is totally welcome. It usually happens with just water. tran breater? hose near the spare tire? anything? could it actually be the airbox?

Easy enough to prove/disprove. The next time out (ie, known to be dry), and the very first time it acts up (no second guesses), stop and look at everything in the airbox, including both sides of the filter and the filter itself for moisture.

I had this problem bad, but it was my dizzy getting wet.

The ONE complaint I have about Ford motors, dizzy on the front. The Chebby never bogs cause the dizzy is in the back.

Dizzy is fun to type.

I've personally proven, and more than once, that you can get a Chebbie dist damp inside and make it cross fire, misfire, kill it altogether, or get enough moisture in it that it's runs for the night but it's too damp to start in the morning (condensation @ top of cap). Boy do I like not having dist's, dist caps, points, rotors and all that stuff to maintain anymore.

I love it, I beat on the chevy good, hasnt given me a problem.

The ranger all I have to do is go through a puddle. I've got it remedied now. But it used to drive me nuts.
