Hi-Lift Lifting Points

Hi-Lift Lifting Points
Hey guys, searched all over but turned up nothing on this subject.
I got a 48" hi-lift jack with all the accessories. I got the lift-mate. I was trying to jack my truck up enough to put a decent size jack stand under there, but after a certain point the suspension just flexes. I can't get it high enough to put a jack stand under it. Well, I can, but the jack stand has settings and on the lowest setting it goes under the framerail but when I lower the hi-lift the tire still touches the ground. I don't think i can go from my rear bumper. I was thinking about trying from the tow hooks??? I dunno, I really need to rotate my tires too...and I wanted to use my new nifty hi-lift....help please!!?!?!
cliff notes: i need some lifting points for my hi-lift. I tried the wheel and it's not high enough...tow hooks???

if you have a hitch, use that. if not, they also make an attachment for use in lifting the bumper.if your just rotating front to back, then a regular floor jack under the frame may work.
hi-lift can spell bad things when lifting the vehicle to high. if you dont hvae the bas for it, then i wouldnt suggest going very high. and in not doing so, probably ownt let you go high enough to your needs.

and with boards under it it's not steady.

i have the bottle jack but it doesn't lift it high enough for some reason. I don't know but I bought my ranger used and everyday i'm thinking more and more the bars were cranked and I have AAL's...I have a friend with a 03 oxford white edge (4.0L 2wd) and his is noticably an inch lower than mine in the rear and about 3" lower in the front (i cranked my bars) I even measured and his was about 1 1/4 off in the back and 3 in the front. Kinda strange.
My bottle jack fully extended on the stock lift point (i think the LCA or whatever it's called) does not lift my wheel off the ground. It gets it to ALMOST..but it won't. And with a piece of wood it gets too unstable for my liking. And it's a PITA...I still can't get the rear up with the bottle jack. I might try using a cinder block or something...it's pissing me off

Add a Leaf and Torsion bar cranking will have no effect on jacking up to rotate the tires. Add a leaf raises the truck, not the axle, the same with the torsion bar crank. The only way to lift the axle higher, is with bigger tires.
If you have stock sized tires, there is no reason the stock jack won't work. My jack works just fine.
