Minimum voltage for a car to start is around 11 volts. No shocker it started.

I have 231K km's (144K miles) and 8.5 years and it's still the original alt too. At least the engines and components last on the Ford/Mazda trucks.

3.0's suck power of a 4 cylinder and gas mileage of a v8.

2.3 Duratech FTW

Just so you guys are in the know, if your above 70k on your 3.0 change your cam position sensor and synchronizer so you dont lock up your engine, its common for the 3.0's to do it.

I would know it happened to me with no warning and I never heard about the issue till it actually happened.

It it goes out more than twice I'm getting a Mean Green built for my truck with a lifetime no questions asked warranty...and it's HO. Up to 280amps.

414k now and I'm on the original starter motor, alternator, tranny, rear end and engine. The original battery finally died in December.

The most it will put out is 180 unless you do a 10-groove pulley swap, then 200. No one makes anything that truly puts out more than that.
