I'm guessing it not stock??? lol. its under my drivers seat. I followed the wires up to my engine bay and then they stopped. Bought the truck second hand w/ 70K on it. Carfax said it was a fleet vehicle. I 'd appreciate any info ya'll could give me on it. (in case the pic don't work its a "CSP660 strobe power supply" made by whelan) I'll probably just take it out, unless someone can give me a reason why it should be there

It's for aftermarket strobe lights, like on an emergency vehicle. No reason to have them on your vehicle unless you have first responder or law enforcement credentials and have a need to respond when in your personal vehicle.

must have had strobes at one time. police ranger?? more likely a city/utility truck or something though. If it's not hooked up, I'd either hook it up or sell it.

Thanks for the quick replies

I just looked at it again and found a plug that was unhooked. Followed the wire up to a switch under the dash. Flipped the switch. And I have strobes!!! Two in front and two in back. They are actually in the headlights and tailights so they are kind of hidden no wonder I didn't notice them before....but they look sweet when I turn them on! God I love my truck even more now. just in case I wanted to sell the power supply box, Which would be the best place to list...besides craigslist of course.

Thanks again.

Yeah just don't turn them on while driving and you are good to go. Very nice little mod to find on a new to you truck. Handy if you ever need to block a street or pull up on an accident or something, and the kids will love it lol.

Ya I'm so pumped about them i'll probably just keep them, unless I get an offer I can't refuse. Nothing better than discovering a free mod! The ones in back just alternate flashes in the red tail lights. The strobes in front are like an electric yellow/blue. They look blue from inside the cab but from the outside they are like bright neon yellow. Its weird, looks kind of like a mini lightning strike.
