starting probs, fuel pump??
Tryed starting my 200 Ranger 3.0 6 cyl today and nothing, it turns over but you cant hear the fuel pump kick in. I tried the reset in the passenger well, no go .
also check ed the fuses in the engine, and switched with the horn relay, no go, the trucked started on 3 occasions for no more then 1 second or so then dies, but as mentioned no fuel pump noise as usual.
anything else i can try?
Its gonna cost me a fortune to get this towed if i cant come up with a solution

Are you positive the FP relay is good, if you have an ohm-meter, pull it out and test between pins 85/86 if it's Open, get a new relay. I've seen this a lot, people go buy the pump when it's the relay or a wire problem.
i switched the fuel pump fuse with the horn fuse relay and still nothing, so wouldnt that say that the fuse is working? and to the first poster, no there is no pump noise when u turn the key, hence i know its not powering up.
Just pull the pump out and run some alligator clips to the battery to see if it's good or not. If it's bad then swap it out, if it's good then it's an electrical problem somewhere. At least you'll know then.
