Towing...
Truck specs are in sig... I think it was said these trucks can tow about 5,000 Lbs as long as it's not an everyday thing, correct? A bunch of my friends think I should buy an old cheapo Ranger and run it in Tuff Trucks at The Buck over the summer. About 6 races max I believe... So how much does one of the old trucks weigh? + a trailer since I am not going to pay to make it street legal. I'd also strip it down as much as possible per the rules. So can my baby do it, or should I look into trading for a F-150?

If you have a automatic tranny make sure you install an auxillary transmission cooler. The auto trans are the weak link in the driveline when towing. I grenaded my last Ranger's tranny pulling slightly over 5,000 pounds on it. The tranny overheated and that led to total failure less than a month later. Even after changing the fluid the next day. The thing slipped like you wouldn't believe after about ten mins. on the road with the trailer. Granted, my last truck only had a 3.0 with 3.73 gears and an auto but, it's still essentially the same transmission. The thirty to fifty dollars you spend will be the best money you've ever spent on a mod.
Another thing, if you have a manual the towing ratings drop quite a bit as well.
