Strange noise in the suspention
Strange noise in the suspention
i just got my 07 fx4 back from the shop where they replaced the drivers side front suspention along with a quartar of the front end after i had an acident back in dec, the repare cost was $12,500. i just recently i took my truck on an old 4x4 trail up in the angles national forest. during that time i was in 4low in 2nd gear and the suspention or 4wheel drive system was making a lot of poping sounds, which could be as a result of a lack of lockers in the front which i thought i had. after that i have been hearing a strange hooting sound from what i think is the pasengers side front suspention. i only hear the noise when i have been driving for at least 20 min, at a speed of 25mph or slower going over slightly bumpy streets. if any one can help me narrow the problem down to what it might be that would be a lot of help.

most of the front end was replace. so i cant tell the new from the old any more. and ya i looked under the truck, but to me everything looks normal. im just not sure what it is. sory i cant provide any more info.
i just took it back today and they felt that it was the ruber bushings between the rear leaf springs. he said that there is nothing i can do but i still feal that he is wrong. now im even more confused
its not very loud. its a type of rubing-radeling-and a strange high pitch hooting noise that might be a lubercation problem. i only hear it after the suspention has had time to warm up. if nothing else works out im gona fork out the 90 bucks to take it to 4wheel parts and have them look at it. also on a trail i recently went on the 4wheel drive low was making a poping noise when ever the front end was flexing, its never sounded like it was in that much pain before, than again it was a fairly extreme trail for a truck with only 31s
