stupid, stupid truck

ARGH!!! I got my truck back - after going through hell. The people at the body shop treated me like **** and were just royal jerks to me...and now I don't think my brakes are working that well...I have to push down a bit before the brakes kick in, but at least they're stopping my truck...for now...

So yeah...my baby's back, but I'm still not allowed to drive it and I'm just very unhappy with the 2004 Ranger I lucked out in getting.

Anyone else have the brake problem where you have to push on the pedal for a while before the brakes kick in???

Bleed the brakes and see if that helps, there might be too much vapor pressure in the system.

eh I have had a few issues with my brakes, mainly locking them up at 5,000 miles and the dealer replaced 1 pad in the rears.... hmm... and, ima need front brakes soon. I also thing my abs might be a lil screwed up as well.

2004 Jannette.

You have hated that poor truck since you got it, glad you finally got it back though.

try bleeding the brake fluid system, if that doesnt help your rear drum brakes may be out of adjustment, and you made need to adjust them to get your pedal back.

I have the same thing. Adjusting the rears manually makes a big difference and I am gonna try bleeding them too as soon as I can find someone to give me a hand.
