style or post mounted side mirror

I need a new passenger side mirror, but everywhere i call they ask if its style or post mounted. I dont have a clue. can someone please tell me? thank yall so much

Post is the flag style mirror. Then one you have I guess could be called "style"

thank you so much, dont understand why it had to be so hard. when they described it over phone both sounded same. They just wanted to make a sale

A common upgrade is installing a set of 2006+ mirrors. I plan on doing it to my Ranger sometime in the future.

Yup, sounds like its 06 time...much larger and you can see so much more

Yes, 3 bolts. They fit under that black triangle on the door.
You have to remove the door panel, undo those three bolts and if power adjusted undo the electronic connection. Install is the same as reverse. I got a replacement on rockauto.com for $30.

in any truck older than 2006 you'll need a dremel with a cutoff wheel and some external torx sockets to remove the bolts and modify the mounting pegs.

its simple, but not completely bolt-on

The modification is super easy to do with a dremel
