Summer Truck Plans?
Hey everyone, I was just curious to see what kind of plans everyone had for their truck since some a lot of times work picks up quite a bit in the summer. Plus a lot of younger truck owners get "full-time" summer job.
What are you plans to have done to your vehicle by the end of summer/ through out the summer? MY plans are to hopefully have another fender (since the last deal I had didn't work out), shaved fenders, black hood, new tires, and interior upgrades such as Dynamat, speakers etc. I can't wait for my Matco tool bill to be paid off, I'm proud of myself since I haven't bought a tool in over 4 months. I got my bill up to like $1,600 and it's finally down to $350. Then it'll be more money for truck parts! :mischievo Brenton |
My plan is to finish the bloody thing already...
|
i would like to get some new speakers... and a front axle  but thats gonna be another year or so since the truck is once again my DD
|
Drive as little as possible so I can afford to eat!

Wheel the bloody heck out of it. Rebuild the full-width F-150 8.8 and get it in the rear. More armor underneath. Finish the custom steering pieces (trackbar and tierod -- did the draglink). Wheel the bloody heck out of it.
Oh, did I mention wheeling the bloody heck out of it? :dunce: |

i can bearly afford to drive it. i seriously thought of trading it in and still is a possibility. maybe when i graduate and i get a full time job i can afford to drive it more and possibly start paying toward the principle of my truck. |
Body lift and 33s, fix the front-end. Thats what I should have done by the end of summer, I would love to have it double lifted though. All depends on how much money I can make.
|
I'm gonna let it sit in the driveway as much as possible, to keep my gas costs down and my mileage also way down. I want this Ranger to last a long, long time. So by not putting miles on it, just keeps it nice shape for the future years. I'll be surprised if I even put 4,000 miles on it over the next year.

pay the sucker off
|
finish my exhaust, fix body damage, wheels, tires, swap front and rear bumpers, cap, get my subs in and alarm wired up

If so... have fun with that. alot of $$$ to do that........ all new suspension and drivetrain. |
I want to swap over to manual hubs, install power windows and locks, alarm, tint and headers. I doubt all that will happen though.
|
Oh yeah finishing my power locks install would be awesome too
|
Wheels and tires.
|
new wheels and tires will be on, color matched front and rear valence/bumper cap, tool box in the back, seat covers

Oh, did I mention wheeling the bloody heck out of it? :dunce: the bearings are shot because the axle shaft seals were leaking, but over all the axle is still good. i don't think it would be worth it for you to drive out here tho haha. :dunce: as far as my plans go, the SAS is already done. now i need to get all of the 4x4 components and then im fixing the body and painting it. |
Lower 2/2 from stock, Weld Prostars, New Tires, Paint Front & Rear Bumper, Paint Handles, Retune, and drive it while the rest of yall sit at home!
minus those who go wheelin.. 2.3 FTW! |

I will have 4 fiberoptic LED tail light bulbs (2 per each) in a few days, they are already installed , the epoxy is still drying. (Much brighter than stock)
I also Cut my 3rd brake light apart and mounted by hand 18 LEDs. |
not too much...probably use all mod money to pay off the truck and the civic...and just finish up things i have around, OHC, HID Off Road lights, fix my CB, install PA speaker, might start saving up for a DBR kit...but that will take past summer...
|
