Ta Da! The Antique Ranger is just about finished. Pictures available at site.
Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I last posted or been on here. I have been busy with the restoration and working, and all the other things that come in between such a project.
I am happy to state the Ranger is finished, excluding a small area painting on the under carriage, and a few things on the engine. But the re-building of the engine is planned but not this year.
The grille has a new paint job. I contacted Rust-Oleum and asked if there was a proper way to use the oil based paint on plastic. They sand to use their plastic primer, which allows oil based to use on plastic.
The grille is close to the original gray. I had to use Hunter Green and Red and White to make the Gray, The white was to find the shade of gray close to the original factory Gray. I also included the black around the headlights and the inserts are black also. Wish I had a better looking Ford emblem. Anyone have one they want to donate?. I'll pay for mailing, and even pay for the bag... LOL..
Painted the two fire walls, and some of the parts inside the engine compartment. Cleaned it up a bit.. When I get the engine rebuilt, the polution pump will be new, and the holding arms for the alt and air compressor and such will be painted. The block will be red, and the intake will be blue. But thats not on the schedule until a year or so.
I also re-painted outside because I wanted some more coats, and I thought I can do a better job on the paint. And I did.
have a look...

I have step by step instructions on the site. Look at the bottom menu. There are additional pages listed there. Look at the video on You Tube. Actually, there are several videos. You can get those from the web site also.
