Tailgate swap,96-93??

OK , I apologize for the rookie questions that I will be posting but this looks like the best resource on the web for ranger info .

So , on to the lame question........

Will a '96 tailgate fit a '93? both are 8' beds and they look identical but I notice the tail lights are different so I figured I owuld ask the experts .

TIA -BONZO

the tailgates should be a direct swap on all '93 and up trucks minus emblem placement on the 06' and newer gates

Thanks much , found this at a junkyard in xlnt shape , I'll nab it tomorrow. These things tend to rot away here in Michigan.

Thanks -BONZO

Yep gotta keep stuff good and clean through the winter up this way and even more up there in Mi.... Also all these questions you have asked could have probably been answered by using the search button :)

yup it should fit... thats exactly why im building a steel mesh tailgate on my 93.. because i dont want the tailgate to rust out or "bow" too much..
