I mean, no offence (can't really offend anyone since we all own rangers) but I don't think a d60 is needed.

We don't make enough power to break a d44. D60 is a little crazy unless you have a 302+ engine. BTW, our tranny will slip and overheat before we blow an axle...so I hear by trucks gone wild crew (they built rangers on rockwells and such). We could basically roll 40's no problem, wheel the crap out of it, and supposibly (according to them) we will break a transmission/tcase before axles

i can believe that... my tranny sucks, its shot.

as for the 40s i pretty much have talked myself out of it. prolly the best deal i will find on those tires but oh well.

I already have 4.88s for the 37s (when I get them) and really dont want to buy another set of gears...

If you get them I can get them as far as Omaha, NE for you.

Scratch that. I just realized I am the wrong direction.

I think they would look too big on a step side ranger.

I was thinking that too, but figured the D60 suggestion was more friendly.

D60s mean a lot of money! More money than I have to spend on the project.

LOL I know!

My best friend's brother was trying to locate a d60 to do a SFA on his 97 250. I want to say the cheapest one he found cleaned up was $1500. He's found one that would have needed work for around 400 or 500 if I remember right, but that was 2 years ago.

You have to admit though, it'd be kind of bad@$$ seeing a ranger with huge pumpkins underneath.
