Its basicailly a completely trail ready truck vs stock other ranger models. It comes with a full set of skid plates, torsion limited slip, alcolas, BFG ATs, power everything, etc etc. Definitely a great truck

Sit in a regular Ranger and then sit in a Level II... the difference is amazing! But besides the snazzy interior, leather, and all the fun stuff inside, you've got yourself the best the Ranger's got to offer. The 4.0L SOHC V6, 4wd with upgraded Bilstein shocks (which ride VERY nicely and are great off-road too), an extended cab with 4 doors (2 full and 2 suicide), all the power upgrades, 2-tone paint, a 31 spline 8.8" rear axle (not found in any other model/trim ranger) with a Torsen limited slip differential (no more worn-out clutches in your LS! plenty of traction for the weekend-warrior!) and you get 31x10.5" BFG A/T tires on 15" Alcoa forged aluminum wheels. I've had both a regular XLT 4x4 Ranger and now I have an 03 Level II, and the Level II is DEFINITELY worth the minimal price the package actually costs! Definitely pick one up!

Once you go level II you never go back! It is part of the reason I am having such a hard time finding a used ranger. I compare them all to my o4 and there is no comparison. The only Reason I like my 01 better was the color, I love Bright Island Blue, but The DSG was a nice substitute. I got a Quote yesterday from the dealer just walking in joe blow off the street for 24K out the door. (My salesman that gets me better deals went to Maplewood toyota) So The difference for anybody between a Base model XLT value ranger in 4x4 trim and a loaded Level II is less than $2000.

Breather tubes are attached to your differentials, transmission, and transfer case. They are long tubes that let air into the differential but keep water and mud and gunk out of them.
