was lookin through my latest of petersens 4wheel mag.. found a few things some people maybe interested in.

1.DTS (drive train specialists), can and will build rear axles anywhere from a 12bolt-ford 8.8

2. Superior axle & gear is offering whats called "super 8.8 axle system", says, it fits 98+ exploder/mountaineer 8.8 axles w/ discs. so if u have a exploder axle, this could be a decent upgrade to that 8.8. comes with 4340 chromoly axles, 2 HD machined axles retainers w/ spacer rings, 3/4 ton timken rollers, and 2 C-slip eliminators.

just thought i'd pass this info on. some people may be interested, some people may say its junk..

 

ive been reading that and am wanting to get that kit too when i eventually do the Ex swap. So im in the hunt for an ex empty diff with just the discs.
