Over my years I've come to the conclusion that my daily driver needs to make me smile every day. Every time I start it, hit the gas, and just look at it. I need to smile. Making a car payment and not being somewhat excited about it.. is not fun.

Mine too, except I still consider it a toy. It would make more sense for me to still be driving my 240SX...
I got my truck when fuel was at or about $4/gallon over the summer. The Mazda dealer I went to was selling Mazda3's at $2500 over MSRP, had virtually none in stock, and had over fifty Mazda trucks. I paid less for a B4000 SE 4x4 loaded to the gills than anyone was paying for a Mazda3, by thousands.
I wouldn't have bought the truck had the price not been what it was. I had always had that twinkle in my eye about trucks and they just represented an outstanding value and a cheap way for me to realize the truck dream. Although it is my daily driver, it's always going to be a toy! And I love it!

tool .... used as a daily and to haul stuff when needed .... i believe that if i dont have the bed filled with **** to go camping or something at least once a month i shouldnt own a truck
reason i got it was my integra was turning into nothing but probs .... then it came in real handy this summer when i moved to wi and back
