Nothing for the Ranger today. Worked on my Wrangler Unlimited. But tackling the wet floor boards in the ranger next weekend. Was getting water thru the cracked floor pan seal on driver side, sealed it, and now passenger side is soaked. Have no idea how water's getting in under the floor, but I see lots of drain holes in it in the near future lmfao.
Six years later and I just replaced both front fenders ( the right side had been flapping at the bottom until I wired it a year or so ago) and had the rust on the leading edge of the roof repaired and repainted the roof and hood.
OK, I just spent as much as I paid for the truck on body work AGAIN - but it's lookin' purdy again and still a lot cheaper than replacing the old girl. I also repaired the side view camera circuit O had installed and will be replacing the (now dim) 7" double DIN stereo unit. Just turned 396000Km and still not burning any oil. I am running 0W40 EuroSpec Synthetic from CanadianTire. Hope to get another 5 or more years out of it
QUOTE=caymanbluelongranger;2173106]All ready to head to Belleville to pick up the new box this morning and the ol'girl started crying like a baby. Replaced the alternator and the bearing in the idler - got on the road 2 hours late. It was a good trip and the replacement box looks good. $1356 Canadian including tax.24.5MPG (canadian) on the way out - first time it's run without the cap and liner in 24 years --- and 19.3 on the way back with the new box hanging out in the wind - 120Kph + across the top of Hogtown except for a couple slowdowns of 4 or 5 miles each. About 6 small dents on the box and the box lip is a bit scabby from having crappy cap tape but it's off to the paint shop next week. Planning on some spray bed-liner on the inner surface of the "fenders" and wheel wells - not sure if I should do it over the foam bead in the wheel arches or not?? Want to get another 10 years or so out of it.[/QUOTE]
